To say the sky is the limit denotes one’s ability to go as high as they want to go without limits. However, some of us would prefer to know what we’re actually aiming to achieve, an absolute destination. While gray makes for a solid base to build other colors, it is simply a mixture of black and white, and preferred only after the other two are unclear. Gray skies speak of the potential for precipitation, even when the chances are 90%. In the midst of it all is a water cycle that represents absolute. It goes around and comes back again.
I prefer to think of the sky as a blue space full of fluffy places of rest for little chubby babies with wings.
